Tofuberry Smoothie Recipe

A Tofuberry Smoothie is the perfect blend of creamy, protein-packed tofu and the natural sweetness of fresh berries. Silken tofu adds a velvety texture and plant-based protein, while strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries bring a burst of antioxidants and fruity flavor. This smoothie is refreshing, filling, and ideal for breakfast, a quick snack, or even a post-workout drink. With no dairy required, it’s suitable for vegans and those looking for a nutritious smoothie that tastes like a treat.

Ingredients (Serves 2):

  1. 1 cup silken tofu (soft and smooth)
  2. 1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced
  3. ½ cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  4. ½ cup raspberries (fresh or frozen)
  5. 1 medium banana (for sweetness and creaminess)
  6. 1 cup almond milk (or any plant-based milk of choice)
  7. 1–2 tbsp maple syrup or honey (optional, adjust to taste)
  8. ½ tsp vanilla extract
  9. A few ice cubes (optional, for a chilled smoothie)

Cooking Time: 5 minutes
Servings: 2

Method:

  1. Place silken tofu, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, banana, and almond milk into a blender.
  2. Add maple syrup or honey if you prefer a sweeter smoothie, along with vanilla extract.
  3. Blend on high speed until completely smooth and creamy. If using frozen berries, you may not need extra ice.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness as desired. Add more almond milk if you prefer a thinner consistency, or a few extra ice cubes for a thicker, chilled texture.
  5. Pour into glasses, garnish with a few fresh berries on top, and serve immediately.

Tips:

  • Use silken tofu for the creamiest result. Firm tofu won’t blend as smoothly.
  • Frozen berries work well if fresh ones are not available; they’ll also make the smoothie thicker.
  • For extra nutrition, add 1 tbsp of chia seeds, flaxseeds, or hemp seeds.
  • Swap almond milk with oat milk, soy milk, or coconut milk depending on your preference.
  • Turn this into a smoothie bowl by reducing the liquid and topping with granola, shredded coconut, or nuts.
