Peanut Butter Energy Balls Recipe

Peanut butter energy balls are small, bite-sized snacks packed with protein, fiber, and natural sweetness. They’re perfect for a quick breakfast, post-workout fuel, or an afternoon pick-me-up. You don’t need any baking, and they’re ready in minutes. This recipe makes about 12 balls, enough for 4 servings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats

  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter

  • ⅓ cup honey or maple syrup

  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds or ground flaxseed (optional)

  • ¼ cup mini chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate (optional)

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • A pinch of salt

Mixing

In a large bowl, combine oats, peanut butter, honey, chia seeds, chocolate chips, vanilla, and salt.

Stir everything together until fully mixed. The mixture should hold together when pressed.

If it’s too sticky, add a bit more oats. If it’s too dry, add a little more peanut butter or honey.

Shaping

Scoop out small portions and roll into balls using your hands. Aim for about 1-inch balls.

Place them on a tray lined with parchment paper.

Chilling

Refrigerate the energy balls for at least 20–30 minutes to firm up.

Serving

Store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.

Peanut butter energy balls are simple, satisfying, and easy to customize. You can add shredded coconut, chopped nuts, or dried fruit to switch up the flavor. They’re perfect for busy days when you need a little boost.
