A strawberry mojito is a refreshing twist on the classic Cuban cocktail, combining juicy strawberries with fresh mint, lime, and bubbly soda water. It’s sweet, tart, and perfect for cooling down on a warm day. This version is alcohol-free, but you can easily turn it into a cocktail with a splash of white rum. Makes 2 servings.
Ingredients
6–8 fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
10–12 fresh mint leaves
1–2 tablespoons sugar or honey (adjust to taste)
Juice of 1 lime (plus lime wedges for garnish)
1 cup chilled soda water or sparkling water
Ice cubesA
Optional: white rum (30–60 ml per glass)
Instructions
1. Muddle the Base
In a sturdy glass or small pitcher, combine the sliced strawberries, mint leaves, sugar, and lime juice. Gently mash with a muddler or the back of a spoon to release the juices and flavors.
2. Add Ice and Soda
Fill two glasses with ice cubes. Divide the strawberry-mint mixture evenly between them. Pour chilled soda water over the top and stir gently.
3. Garnish and Serve
Add a lime wedge and a sprig of mint to each glass for garnish. Serve immediately with a straw or stirring stick.
Tips
Use ripe, sweet strawberries for the best flavor
Crush the mint gently—don’t tear or shred it
For a cocktail version, add white rum before the soda
To make a batch for a crowd, scale up and mix in a pitcher
The strawberry mojito is light, cooling, and great for parties or relaxing afternoons.
